2026-04-23 Asgard-XV

Project:
On this year’s edition of Asgard our plan is to cosmic background radiation. We will also be saving our data to a SD-Card.

Day 1:
On the first day we presented our project as usual at the planetarium of the RMI. After which we went to eat kebab it was an unuasually interesting day with a lot of facts and a lot of pressure from the quota we had to hit.

Day 2:
Day two, also known as launch day, took quite an unexpected turn, but luckily not for us. Our project worked well and was easy to install into the balloon but our second team used the wrong battery wich wasn’t charged but they couldn’t see it with a multimeter. This means thtat their project didn’t work and that we couldn’t get gps and aprs data downlinked. luckily Yves Jansen made a precise prediction within 200meters of the landing area. After the retrievel in Gent we went to eat some ice cream and we met up with the ex deezers.
We returned to the hotel and were working on our presentation till 02:00.

Day:3
We woke up and took the metro to Planetarium to present our data and graphs we made, we did make a mistake with the second graph because apparently we missed a formula to change the graph from clicks per minute to micro sivert.

Conclusion:
We met a lot of new people , learned a lot of things but most importantly had fun .Thank you to yves for making the best prediction ever and for helping us with this project and thank you Dirk Geeroms for this opportunity.
